This year Kleenex® Cottonelle® Toilet Tissue and Guide Dogs Australia, comprising the State Guide Dog Associations of Australia, are continuing to work together to help train puppies to become Guide Dogs.
Kleenex® Cottonelle®, brought to you by Kimberly-Clark, is proud to have a long standing relationship with Guide Dogs to assist in raising money and awareness to train puppies to become Guide Dogs, enriching the lives of people with vision impairment.
Kleenex® Cottonelle® also donate proceeds from its 'Doggie Ringtones' service to Guide Dogs Australia.
Did You Know?
- A Guide Dog walks approximately 9,000kms throughout its working life of 8-10 years.
- Each Guide Dog costs over $25,000 over the course of its working life of 8-10 years.
- It takes approximately two years to fully train each Guide Dog.
- Guide Dogs are allowed by law to accompany their owner in all public places and on all public transport (even planes!)
- Guide Dogs give the gift of independence to people with vision impairment.
