What are Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids?

Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids are pre-moistened wipes that deliver a cleaner clean than using dry toilet paper alone. They are made from a specially designed cloth-like material that will break up in both the sewerage and septic systems so they are flushable. They are available in a 42-sheet pop-up tub or 84-sheet resealable refill.

Is it safe to flush Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids?

Yes. Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids are made from a specially designed material which will break up in the sewerage or septic system like toilet paper. However do not flush an excessive amount of wipes at one time (No more than two wipes are recommended per flush). Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids meet the EDANA guideline for flushability.

How many wipes can I flush at once?

Sewage systems and stream flow conditions are different from door to door. Some extreme cases show that just one sheet can plug a toilet, so our advice is don’t flush these wipes if the water stream in the toilet is weak, and also don’t flush many sheets at once (we recommend that no more than two wipes are used per flush).

How do these wipes differ from baby wipes?

The most important point of difference is that Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids are flushable while baby wipes must be disposed of via alternative means. The kids pop-up tub has also been designed for children with its puppy design and soft opening which is gentle on little fingers.

Are these wipes suitable for toilet training?

Yes: Children of toilet training age are used to the feel of moist wipes and moist wipes offers a cleaner, easier and more gentle clean than dry toilet paper. The moistened wipes are a great tool for potty training as parent/carer can use wipe on child and potty and flush away the lot away (versus throwing in the bin).

Can the wipes by used on your face?

You can use Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids on your face however as the wipes contain ingredients found in household hand wash (soap) care must be taken to avoid contact with your eyes. If you do get near your eyes and irritation occurs it may cause stinging. Wash eyes thoroughly under running water.

How can I prevent Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids from drying out?

The packs have a resealable seal which must be sealed properly after use. If the pouch is left open or not sealed properly the wipes will dry out.

If the wipes dry out, can water be added to moisten them for use?

We do not recommend it. The product is a carefully balanced system. Adding too much water to the product could impact product performance.

How long will my pack of Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids last?

Unopened wipes have a two year shelf life. If the wipes have been opened and properly closed, they will last approximately 2 months.

I am sensitive to fragrances. Do Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids have any fragrance?

Yes. The fragrance is a synthetic fragrance that is blended directly into the solution.

Do Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids contain alcohol?

No, Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids are alcohol free.

Do Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids contain Aloe Vera?

Yes, our Kleenex® Flushable Fresh Wipes contain Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera comes from the Aloe Vera plant and is a natural botanical ingredient. It is gentle and soothing to the skin. No synthetic Aloe Vera is used in any wipes products.

Can I flush Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids down an aeroplane toilet?

No, we have not tested the wipe in this situation so we cannot guarantee it would be safe via this disposal method.

What material is the Tub made from?

The Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids tub is made of polypropylene. The soft rubbery-like material that makes up the button and the dispensing orifice is TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer). TPE’s are a family of polymers that can be repeatedly stretched without permanently deforming the shape of the part.

Will Kleenex® Flushable Fresh Wipes fit into the Kids dispenser?

Yes: the Kleenex® Flushable Fresh Wipe 40 pack will fit within the Kleenex® Cottonelle® Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids tub and the one-at-a-time dispensing mechanic will work well.

How Do These Wipes Differ from Kleenex® Flushable Fresh Wipes?

The Kids Wipes are thicker and wetter for a better, easier clean. The other key difference is in the packaging.
