How do I download, install and run the Kleenex® Puppy?

Go to www.kleenexpuppy.com and click on 'Puppy Stuff - For Your Desktop'. You will need to be a registered member of Kleenex before you can access the download. Click on the "Register" button to register to Kleenex. Once you are registered, click on the "Sign in" button.

Once you have signed in, you will be presented with a message box which will give you the option to 'Open' or 'Save'. Selecting 'Open' will download the file called 'Kleenex_Puppy.exe' to your computer. Once the download is complete, the program will start automatically and will give you instructions to install the program.

Selecting 'Save' will prompt you to save the file 'Kleenex_Puppy.exe' to a location you specify on your computer's hard drive. After choosing the location, the file will start downloading. After download is complete, navigate to the location you saved the file called 'Kleenex_Puppy.exe' to and double-click its icon to start the program. The program will then give you instructions to begin installation.

Do not double-click on 'Kleenex_Puppy.exe' file again after you've installed the Kleenex® Puppy to start the program again. This file is only used to install the Kleenex® Puppy to your system.

Installing the Kleenex® Puppy will create a shortcut on your Windows Desktop called 'Run Kleenex® Puppy'. If you've closed the Kleenex® Puppy program, and you'd like to start it again, double-click on the 'Run Kleenex® Puppy' shortcut on your Desktop.

You can also start the Kleenex® Puppy program by clicking on your Windows Start Button and selecting Programs > Kleenex® > Start Kleenex® Puppy.

After the Kleenex® Puppy installs, the program will start immediately. You will first see the Opening Screen which will provide instructions and will allow you to choose various settings which affect the program's behaviour. Clicking on the 'Play' button will start the Kleenex® Puppy itself.

How long does it take to download the Kleenex® Puppy?

Depending on your connection to the Internet the download time will vary. On a 56K modem the download will take approximately two to four minutes.

What software is needed to run the Kleenex® Puppy?

None! The Kleenex® Puppy will run on any computer with the Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP operating system.

What is the file size of the Kleenex® Puppy?

The Kleenex® Puppy was designed to be as small as possible to make it very easy to download or to e-mail to your friends. Depending on the amount of tricks your Kleenex® Puppy can perform, the file size ranges from around 1.5 to 2 megabytes.

Does the Kleenex® Puppy run on Macintosh computers, Unix computers, or WebTV?

The Kleenex® Puppy is currently made for computers running on the Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP operating systems.

How do I know that the Kleenex® Puppy does not include a virus?

In order to ensure that the Kleenex® Puppy does not contain a virus, follow these steps:

1. Download it directly from our website and this will ensure it is virus-free.
2. If you are uncertain about one you have received in an email, check it with an anti-virus program.
3. It is a good idea not to run anything you are e-mailed, even if it is from a friend, until you check with them that they intended to send it to you.
